BIOGRAPHY
Dan Summers, aka Ten Letters, performs piano and saxophone driven jazz and R&B, styled with a healthy dose of improvised harmonies and melodies. Hailing from Fort Collins, Ten Letters has collaborated with many local artists from a multitude of genres, including folk/Americana to progressive rock.
Beginning four years ago in South Dakota as a street performance, the path to now has been just as improvised as the music! Along the way, the sounds have been influenced by Robert Glasper, Kamasi Washington, Nina Simone, Herbie Hancock, Skerik, and FKJ. Common guests joining Ten Letters are Jesarae Dale, Matt Fowler, Aaron Lock, and Cody Backman.
A few of Dan’s highlight performances were May Day Music Festival 2015-2016 (Brookings, SD), guest performances for FOCO MX 2017-2018 (Fort Collins, CO), YardStock 2017 (Flatiron Resivour, CO), and Cohere Bandwidth’s Listening Party 2017 (Fort Collins, CO).
